We originally worked for years in Wordpress, using it as a content management system (CMS). We created templates and even built several plugins for clients, but we realized it had serious limitations for a lot of custom needs that many websites require. That's where ExpressionEngine comes in. It is a very affordable solution that allows us as the developer to construct the back end for the client in a way that makes every final thing of their website editable, and its a breeze to use. We can even customize the publish forms for each page they will be editing, so they will only see the fields they are interested in updating and they will never have to deal with unnecessary editable fields. This CMS can pretty much do anything we want it to. If for some reason it can't do something a website demands, it isn't too difficult to find a plugin for it that can or else we can easily develop a plugin that will. It costs $250 and usually about another $250 for the plugins we buy for each website. For most clients, that is peanuts for the time and money they save in maintenance.

We highly recommend using ExpressionEngine for any medium to high end website, in fact, we even use it on this website. If you need to manage the content on your website you will not be disappointed using ExpressionEngine.
